Q & As
Q How long does it take to get started?
A From an initial enquiry to a fully-launched site in and city takes just a few days. You can then populate your site over a period of time, starting with your church listings, perhaps and activating modules as time goes on.
Q Who can have this site?
A Any group of like-minded individuals or churches who are willing sign up for the 18-month financial commitment, or put up the initial outlay.
Q How much time each week does it take to administer the site?
A It depends how much your site is used, but allow a maximum of 3 hours a week. Experience shows that a team of 2 or 3 administrators, working on a weekly rotation works well.
Q How much would you suggest charging for a banner ad on the site?
A This is up to you. In Portsmouth we find that £100 a year or £8.50 a month works well
Q Can we set up individual direct debits to you, e.g. £10 a month each?
A No. We require just one direct debit. We suggest you set up a site bank account for this purpose. The account would accept contributions to site costs, and receive the revenue that you generate.

What people say
We are extremely grateful for the Portsmouth Churches website - it is very easy to access information, to tell people who have any enquiries about churches in their area, and very easy for us to use for putting information on our page. So, many thanks.

St Thomas of Canterbury, Anglican Cathedral of Portsmouth
The Portsmouth Churches web site has been invaluable to us as it provides a means of letting people know about the church, its services and all its activities. It is very easy to update it ("User friendly" is the phrase that comes to mind) and is an additional means of publicity which has a larger audience than the posters and notices which we have outside the church. As well as this, it does have room on it for the times of services, organisations, meetings all the other activities that the church carries out.
