Increasingly Christians are sensing God’s desire for increased unity in the work of the Great Commission. The Bible tells us that it is in unity that God commands His blessing.
The Lord is using many different ways to build His kingdom today including digital tools such as this ‘cyber message board’. Communication is crucial in kingdom building and this easy online tool gives all the churches and congregations in any town/city a common platform for information on the wider church.
History
- www.portsmouthchuches.co.uk is the original site in the Church Hub family of websites – and is in its 7th successful year, albeit now in its updated format. The original site, started in 2002 by Rachel Poole and Sally Davis (Director of Church Hub CIC) was a gift from Portsmouth Christians in Business to the city of Portsmouth. At Christmas and Easter site visitors have been known to exceed 10,000 a month. With 120 churches from 17 denominations represented it has something for everyone. Items from the News section are regularly picked up by the local paper and enquiries are even received from people worldwide seeking info on church and family history – these we pass to records offices in the city. The Portsmouth site is an excellent example of what can be achieved.
